Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology- System Administration 3-year degree

Graduation Requirements

  • Complete the associate degree requirement.

  • Complete all program specific courses.

  • Complete all General Education and Religious Education requirements.

  • Complete 30 upper-division credits (300 to 400 level courses). Can be fulfilled with transfer or residency credits.

  • Complete at least 25% of credits in residency (taken directly from the awarding institution).

  • Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.

  • Complete additional elective credits to meet the 90-credit graduation requirement.

Program Description

The Bachelor of Applied Science in System Administration prepares students to design, manage, and secure the technology systems organizations rely on daily. The program helps students understand what system administration is, why it matters in today’s workforce, and how they can apply their skills in real-world settings.

 Students gain hands-on experience with servers, networks, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity tools. The degree is built around stackable certificates and applied coursework, giving students practical skills they can use immediately in internships and entry-level jobs while progressing toward their bachelor’s degree.

This program is ideal for students who enjoy problem-solving, troubleshooting, and supporting people through technology and want to build careers in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and system security.

Graduates of the System Administration program are prepared for a variety of IT careers, including:

  • Systems Administrator

  • Network Administrator or Engineer
