Introduction to Supply Chain Management & Operations
Course Description
Students are introduced to theories and practices of supply chain management and operations. Topics explored and practiced in this course include Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), negotiation, quality, distribution & logistics, Theory of Constraints (TOC), and Lean Manufacturing. Students will gain understanding of the goals and impacts of supply chain management and develop skills in applying them to an organization.
1.Analyze the goals, impacts, and roles of supply chain management
2.Identify Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) strategies for an organization
3.Apply the Theory of Constraints (TOC) to a supply chain function
4.Demonstrate Lean Manufacturing principles in a supply chain
