Course Description
This course launches students into entrepreneurship by developing essential skills for starting a successful small business in developing economies. Through mobile-friendly instruction, students learn fundamental business principles while actively establishing their own venture. The course emphasizes practical, hands-on experience in business planning, market analysis, and basic operations management. Ideal for both aspiring entrepreneurs and current small business owners, this course is the foundation of the Entrepreneurship Certificate program. Students gain immediate practical experience by starting or improving a real business during the course. Upon completion, students are prepared to advance their business knowledge through subsequent certificate courses (BUS 117, 118, and 119).
1. Develop an initial business by identifying market opportunities, analyzing startup costs, and creating basic operational strategies.
2. Apply principles of faith to make business decisions that enhance both spiritual and temporal welfare.
3. Generate business revenue by implementing basic marketing strategies, establishing pricing, and delivering customer value.
