Student Enrollment Status
Statement of Policy
Student enrollment status identifies the stage of the student in the education life cycle.
Active: Students are considered active once they have participated in a course.
Active Not Attending: Students who skip or sit out for one term are considered active but not attending. Students who participate in a course within three (3) terms of moving to the active not attending status will become active. If a student does not participate, they will be placed on Leave (see below).
Leave (Deferred): Students may take a Leave from the institution for various reasons including but not limited to academic, medical, military, missionary, or emergency. Students are placed on Leave status when:
A student has had three (3) consecutive terms of active-not attending or;
A student requests to take a Leave.
Withdrawn from the Institution: Students can withdraw from the institution at their own discretion. Students who spend five (5) years with a Leave status will be Withdrawn from the institution. Students will need to clear any holds prior to returning to Active status.
