Program Description

In today’s competitive job market, employers increasingly recognize the significance of soft skills such as communication, problem solving, teamwork, and leadership. This certificate is designed to allow students to develop these characteristics as they prepare to seek a job in an ever-changing professional landscape.

Specific opportunities for employment will depend upon the student’s choice of other certificates and degrees offered at Ensign College. We believe that investing in the development of the skills contained within this certificate will empower our students to stand out among their peers and secure fulfilling employment opportunities.

1. Integrate knowledge and skills across disciplines in alignment with the Ensign College-Wide Capabilities.

2. Demonstrate an awareness of genres and audiences by creating written and verbal rhetoric designed for diverse purposes. Analyze and evaluate a variety of texts as part of conducting relevant research while properly documenting sources.

3. Identify relevant information and apply appropriate strategies and methods to solve real-world problems. Justify conclusions based on quantitative information and/or other pertinent data.
