Statement of Policy
Success with online coursework depends on students having access to reliable internet, electricity, and a device with minimum computing power. Before enrolling in a program, you should affirm that the following conditions are met:
You need to have regular access to high-speed internet with adequate data. Internet speed checking can be accomplished using a browser.
You need to have regular access to a device that meets the minimum device profile designated for your selected academic program, as explained on the BYU-Pathway Technology Requirements web page. Device profiles are as follows:
Mobile Device: Smartphone required with an Android 9+ or iOS 14+ operating system.
Light Computing: Laptop required with ability to run Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel.
Heavy Computing: Laptop is required with the ability to run more demanding applications.
